WE CARE Food Bank
 
WE CARE is always in need of non-perishable food and paper products.  They are also in need of coolers for transporting food from the various stores who donate to the food bank.  If you have a used (and not cracked) cooler you'd like to donate, please call Connie Howell at 503-7402 and she will arrange for pick-up.  For all other WE CARE information, please call Peggy Davis at 382-2774 or e-mail her at Pedavis@tampabay.rr.com.
 
 
Creative Hands.....
 
Beginning Monday July 6, 2009 our Creative Hands (formerly Creative Sewers) committee will hold their meetings at the Homosassa Library (in the Community Room just to the left after you enter the building).  Meetings are from 10:30am to 12:30pm.  New members are invited to join in.   Past projects have included quilts, outfits for HES chorus, chemo caps, etc.  If you have a project idea or would like to work with a fantastic, giving group of women, please contact Lorraine Blond at 382-1936 or e-mail her at Bradsnona33@yahoo.com.
 
 
The Advantages of Membership......
 
Just a quick reminder to renew your membership for 2009-2010 if you have not already done so (and please remind your friends and neighbors as well as everyone who doesn't use e-mail).  Click HERE for a membership application / renewal form.  Our organization is dependent upon our members to sustain our efforts to make a difference in the quality of life here in Citrus County.  From past experience it takes about 400 of us to do this effectively.  Though our fund-raising events are open to the public, our intra-club activities are limited to members only; and our by-laws also state that a woman resident of SMW is eligible to attend only one luncheon without holding membership in WSW.  Annual dues have remained steady for the past few years at $25 because we have been able to manage our costs while keeping our membership levels near the 400 mark.  Please make your check payable to WSW and drop in the Membership mailbox (#2) near the US 19 entrance to SMW.  If you are out of town and wish to mail your check, please send to Donna Rayne, 17 Foxglove Ct., Homosassa, FL 34446.
