REMINDER! WE NEED YOU.
Creative Hands members will display all their current projects and sell their creations at our October luncheon. Besides their usual array there will holiday table decorations, doll clothes, some with the dolls and Christmas stockings. Need a new seat cover for your golf cart or an original card tablecloth? Lorraine Blond (382-1926) will be taking orders. Bring your holiday list and shop early! Remember, all the proceeds are donated back to the WSW. Their next meeting is Monday, 10-5 at 10 A.M. at the Homosassa Library.
Janet Mark (382-3078) will have the “ANGELS” ready for October. Once again, the WSW is participating with the Salvation Army holiday Angel Tree project. Thirty children will their written wishes on WSW angels. Janet has arranged that all the children in any one family will be allocated to the WSW to insure that our Santa visits them all. Gifts will be collected at our December luncheon.
Check the pantry, polish up the cookie sheets and sign up for the WSW annual “Cookie Drop” coordinated by Marianne Deacon (382-0275) Cookie collection will begin in November and postage donations can be made at the October luncheon.
There is still time to sign up for the C. C. Hospice Tree of Remembrance. WSW is manning the table at the C.R. Mall from Friday, November 27 through Sunday, December 13 from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. Hospice offers comfort and care to the patient and their family at a very difficult and stressful period. Two hours of your time is time well spent to insure that these services are available when needed. Shirley Dube (382-2211) is coordinating this project – bring your calendar and sign up for a shift.

President's Welcome Message - CLICK HERE o Cruise with the Women of Sugarmill Woods - March 8, 2012 on the Royal Caribbean "Jewel of the Seas". This will be a four night cruise going to Cozumel from Tampa. It will be a great time for our members and friends to relax and enjoy all the amenities on board a luxury cruise liner. Our Cruise director is Owen Williams of "West of the Moon" Travel. Owen is now accepting reservations. Call Owen at 352-596-6912 to make your reservations and put down your $100 per person deposit. inside cabins are $399. Outside cabins from $529. Cabins with balcony from $629. Government Tax and Insurance are extra. Owen will be at the September luncheon meeting to discuss the cruise and to accept reservations.

o We are collecting recipes to present a demonstration to the CASA clients.
We will teach the CASA clients how to prepare nutritious quick meals for their families. If you have any cook books that you would like to donate, please bring them to the March 28 luncheon. If you are interested in helping us with this project, please let Vicki Leitzinger, 382-2906 now. We would love to have you join us.

o Carol Brady, our new CASA Liaison has given us the following list of essentials:
toilet paper, paper towels, liquid detergent, powdered laundry detergent, diapers
(any size), baby wipes, ointment for diaper rash, coats for children and
adults, shoes in good condition and cell phones with charger cords. If you can
supply CASA with any of these items please call Carol Brady at 382-1420.
o We would like to start a SOCIAL GROUP for our WSW members who are single again for whatever reason, and for those who would simply like to have a social group of ladies with whom to go to lunch, dinner, the movies, shopping, etc. If you are interested please call Jo Tucci, 503-3931 or Joan Reece, 382-3754.

o Support is always needed for the Monthly Bingo at Sugarmill Manor Assisted Living. It has been held on the third Monday for as long as I've been a member of WSW but never gets any publicity. We are hoping that some of the members who do not attend military cards could find an hour a month to help with the bingo. The residents appreciate any little bit of attention. They sometimes need help playing or sometimes just want to chat with us. Please contact Edna Pirmann at 628-3362.
